Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Winters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caidal Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Alan Winters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Caidal Cain!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winters takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Cain lands an overhand right.
Cain has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cain there as he acknowledges the shot.


It looks like Caidal Cain has been cut.
Winters throws a combination that misses
and Cain counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Winters takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Winters shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cain sprawls well. Cain wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Winters gets slowly back to his feet.

Cain fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Cain throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Winters tumbling to the canvas!

Cain drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cain jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Oh Winters is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Winters seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cain wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Winters, who protects the arm well.
Winters is looking to regain half guard here but Cain keeps moving and retains side control.
Winters stops Cain from passing to mount.
Winters wants to control but Cain postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Winters looks to move to half guard but instead Cain has passed into mount! Damn!

Cain goes for an armbar but Winters turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Winters.

Winters engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Cain keeping moving, preventing Winters from controlling successfully.
Cain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Winters's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cain pushing down on Winters's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Winters is trying to stand back up but Cain is controlling him
Cain is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Cain goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Winters turns into him and now he's in Cain's guard.
Winters is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Cain jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

and Cain counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Cain is letting Winters control him for a moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cain is looking for a triangle but Winters pushes his legs off easily.
Winters wants to control from the top but Cain keeps moving.

Cain isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Winters stacks Cain on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Winters!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Winters shoots in looking for a takedown. Cain tries to sprawl out of it but Winters keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cain wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Winters tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cain sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Winters somewhat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cain stalks Winters and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Winters's face. Winters staggers backwards, shaken.
Caidal Cain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Winters takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Cain throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Winters stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Cain lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Winters at a distance.
Winters looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Cain smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Cain throws a right hand that Winters ducks under and follows up with a left that Winters also avoids with ease.
Cain lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Cain jabs Winters to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Cain scores with a punch to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Caidal Cain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cain has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
