Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Krauss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alan Cobra! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krauss fails with the takedown. Krauss fails to land the takedown. Nice combo by Cobra! Oh, that's hurt him - Krauss falls to the canvas and Cobra follows him into side control.
Krauss is rocked!
It looks like Michael Krauss has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cobra stands up and beckons Krauss to his feet. Oh Krauss is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cobra has closed the distance and engaged Krauss in a clinch.
Krauss seems to have got his legs back now. Krauss wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Krauss. That's going to take a lot out of him. Krauss has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Cobra is trying to keep an underhook but Krauss manages to get the takedown into half guard. Krauss takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Krauss is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cobra doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Krauss. Krauss thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cobra kicks Krauss off and gets back to his feet. Cobra rushes Krauss and presses him up against the cage. Krauss wants a takedown.
Cobra lands a good knee to the midsection. Krauss won't want to take too many of those. Krauss is breathing heavily. Cobra is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Cobra prevents the takedown attempt.
Knees in the clinch landing for Cobra.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cobra breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cobra lands a brutal head kick. Krauss looks out on his feet and Cobra throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
