Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Percy Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Percy Evans is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Percy Evans!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans throws a sloppy head kick and Hardy moves out of range easily.
Evans shoots in looking for a takedown. Hardy tries to sprawl out of it but Evans keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hardy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Evans looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Evans tries to stand and escape but Hardy is controlling the position.

Hardy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Evans's guard.

Evans has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hardy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hardy connects with a nice short shot to Evans's temple.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Evans is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Evans has momentary wrist control but Hardy slips an elbow through the middle.
