Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ouriel Semiazas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Lundin! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lundin misses with a takedown attempt and Semiazas counters with a stiff right hand. Lundin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Robert Lundin has been cut. Semiazas rushes Lundin and presses him up against the cage. Semiazas can't get the takedown.
Semiazas drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Semiazas prevents a takedown attempt there.
Semiazas lands a nice uppercut. Semiazas wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ouriel Semiazas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Semiazas is pressed up against the cage. Lundin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Semiazas down to the mat. Semiazas avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Semiazas lands with a hook. Lundin tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lundin. Lundin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lundin there as he acknowledges the shot. Ouriel Semiazas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Semiazas gets tackled into the cage by Lundin. Lundin maintains the clinch. Semiazas has Lundin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Semiazas pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lundin tumbling to the mat - Semiazas dives into Lundin's guard. Lundin keeping moving, preventing Semiazas from controlling successfully. Semiazas stops Lundin from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Semiazas stopping the sweep attempt from Lundin. Semiazas is looking to work some ground and pound but Lundin has wrist control. Semiazas won't allow Lundin to get back to his feet. Semiazas cracks Lundin with a solid left hand. Semiazas might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Semiazas stops Lundin from standing up. Semiazas wants to control from the top but Lundin keeps moving. Semiazas prevents Lundin from getting back to his feet. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Semiazas throws a big right hand that misses. Lundin keeping moving, preventing Semiazas from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Semiazas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lundin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lundin throws a left and a right that both miss
and Semiazas counters with an inside leg kick. Semiazas connects with a solid leg kick. Lundin looks gassed! Lundin has his takedown stuffed and Semiazas counters with a takedown into side control. Semiazas scores with a couple of short elbows. Semiazas in side control, just content to control the action for now. Lundin stops Semiazas from passing to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Semiazas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lundin keeps working. Semiazas is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lundin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Lundin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Semiazas tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Semiazas throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Semiazas taking a breather here. Semiazas prevents Lundin from escaping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lundin parries the strikes from Semiazas easily there. Semiazas is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lundin to escape.
Semiazas looks up at the clock and then as Lundin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Semiazas smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Lundin can't do much from the bottom here. Semiazas working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Semiazas looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Lundin is avoiding damage well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Semiazas stands up and beckons Lundin to his feet. Lundin misses with a takedown and Semiazas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Semiazas cracks Lundin with an open hand slap. Lundin with a poor takedown so Semiazas counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Semiazas stands up over Lundin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Semiazas is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Semiazas scores with a decent looking elbow strike. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
Ouriel Semiazas dominated that round. The cut man is working on Robert Lundin's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Semiazas works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Semiazas has picked Lundin up - he's going for a ride! Semiazas dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Semiazas frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lundin taking shots to the head.
Lundin is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Semiazas softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Lundin is out cold! Semiazas jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ouriel Semiazas!
