The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerous closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Saxon to the mat! Saxon manages to get full guard.
Gerous is pushing down on Saxon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Saxon is fighting to maintain full guard but Gerous has managed to sneak the leg through.
Saxon pushes Gerous off but Gerous dives into side control.
Saxon wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Saxon tries to escape back to his feet but Gerous has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Saxon's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Saxon is tapping! Gerous saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
