Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charles Webb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Jay Hartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Jay Hartman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charles Webb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jason Jay Hartman!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartman has his takedown stuffed
and Webb counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hartman fails with the takedown
and Hartman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hartman throws a wild body kick that Webb sees coming a mile off.

Webb closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hartman quickly recovers to half guard.
Hartman wants to get back to his feet.

Webb is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hartman has managed to free his arm - good work.
Well, if Webb is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Webb wants to work for an arm triangle but Hartman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hartman wants to get back to full guard but Webb has passed into side control.
Hartman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee asks Webb politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Webb prefers to stall for the moment though.

Webb stands up and we're back to a striking position.
A combination from Hartman does no damage.

Webb shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Webb showed some decent athleticism there.
Well, if Webb is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Webb stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Hartman has closed the distance and engaged Webb in a clinch.
Hartman prevents the takedown attempt.
Hartman tries to break the clinch but Webb is controlling the position.
Hartman has Webb pressed against the cage.
Hartman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Webb walks away with a smile on his face. Hartman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Charles Webb has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Jay Hartman.

Webb shoots in and bounces Hartman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hartman looks gassed!
Webb seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hartman has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Webb has passed into side control.
Webb works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Webb just content to control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hartman takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Webb is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hartman's shoulder. That is not cool.
Hartman taking punishment in the form of punches.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Webb decides to stand back up.
Hartman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Webb swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hartman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Webb manages to avoid it.
Hartman wants to clinch

so Webb counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hartman looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charles Webb dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Webb tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hartman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Webb counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hartman won't be happy with that.
Hartman is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Still in half guard, Webb seems content to control.
Webb works his foot free and advances to mount.
Hartman is breathing heavily.
Webb controlling from mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Webb working the ground and pound effectively.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Webb controlling the pace for now.
Webb lands a big elbow.

Webb is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hartman has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hartman is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Webb with a couple of short strikes.
Webb is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hartman can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Charles Webb overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Webb is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hartman can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Webb tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Webb here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Hartman wants to hold on but Webb pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Webb controlling from mount.
Webb punishing his opponent with strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charles Webb dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Webb feints and as Hartman raises his hands in defense, Webb changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hartman is trying to control the position but Webb postures up.
Webb wants to pass the guard but Hartman is keeping the position.
Webb pushes down on Hartman's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Hartman trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Webb tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hartman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hartman throws a strike from the bottom but Webb holds onto the arm and goes for an armbar! He's got it! Fantastic submission from Webb!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Charles Webb!
