The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua moves out of range as Henderson strikes.
Henderson avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Rua misses with a wild body shot.
Rua misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Henderson shoots in and bounces Rua off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Rua working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Henderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rua looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Rua is looking for a triangle but Henderson pushes his legs off easily.

Rua working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Henderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rua is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Henderson is aware though and is defending well.
Rua had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Henderson defends it easily.

Rua has momentary wrist control but Henderson slips an elbow through the middle.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Henderson is landing with some decent strikes but Rua is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Henderson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rua looks a forlorn figure.
