Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leonidas King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the ring accompanied by Black Lab-This Night. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leonidas King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Lynch!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynch walks into a stiff left hand from King.
Lynch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lynch misses with a takedown attempt
letting King counter with a right hand.
Lynch moves to clinch but King breaks away

and King counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
King trying to control the position from guard on top but Lynch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
King is looking to work some ground and pound but Lynch has wrist control.
King wants to control from the top but Lynch keeps moving.
Lynch working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from King.

Lynch is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lynch is pulling down on King's head. It's preventing any offense from King, at least for the moment.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
King stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and King wants it to stay on the feet.
Lynch throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and King connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lynch tries to clinch but King moves out of range.
Lynch tries for a takedown but King sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Leonidas King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Lynch.
Lynch tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but King swivels and escapes.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

A left lands for King.
Lynch is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
King feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lynchs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

King tests Lynch's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Lynch gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
King is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Lynch shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and King counters with a straight right hand.
Lynch walks into a jab.
King bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Lynch shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and King counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Lynch on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

King closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

King tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lynch knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
King is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Lynch reverses the position - he's now on top in King's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

King closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lynch to the mat! Lynch manages to get full guard.

Lynch has his foot on King's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. King works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

King got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lynch has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, King has managed to get both his arms back between Lynch's legs - danger averted.
King not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Leonidas King just wasn't active enough.
King lands a jab-cross combination.
King lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
King jabs at Lynch's body.
Lynch tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lynch fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lynch has his takedown stuffed
and King counters with a stiff right hand.
King uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lynch has time to react.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
King connects with a nice looking jab.

King shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lynch is trying to defend but King finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
King is trying to control. Lynch wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lynch slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
King wants to control from the top but Lynch keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



King fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lynch sprawls well initially but King persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. George Lynch wasn't active enough on the ground.

King shoots in looking for a takedown but Lynch manages to keep the fight standing, pushing King's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Lynch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Leonidas King showed his dominance in that final round.
Well King has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
