Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Toshika Koga!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koga blocks a head kick by Watson.
Watson throws a right hand that Koga ducks under and follows up with a left that Koga also avoids with ease.

tom Watson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Watson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
You can see the frustration on Koga's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Watson is looking to take a break and control but Koga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Koga tries to buck Watson off but Watson is having none of it.
Koga manages to work his way to half guard, despite Watson's best efforts.
Koga wants to improve his position but Watson is controlling well.
Koga should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Koga is trying to maintain the position but Watson is very close to passing his half guard.

Watson is looking to take a break and control but Koga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Watson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Watson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Watson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Koga on the ground.
Koga works his way to full guard. Good work.

Koga is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Watson is aware though and is defending well.
Watson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Koga is on top in guard.

Watson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Watson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Watson controls Koga momentarily but Koga frees himself.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

tom Watson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Watson tries to clinch but Koga is having none of it.

Koga shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Koga was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Koga looking to control but Watson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Watson is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Koga has taken his back.

Watson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Koga tries to get the hooks in deep but Watson pushed the leg off.

Koga thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Watson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Koga gets his way!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well, with Koga on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Watson is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Watson rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Koga has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Koga has isolated one of Watson's arms. Watson looking to fight him off but Koga twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
