Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Winston Escador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escador misses with a looping right.
Simpson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Escador takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Simpson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Escador misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Escador rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Simpson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Escador tries to clinch but Simpson is having none of it.

Escador is fighting to break Simpson's control of his arms but Simpson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Simpson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Escador tries to avoid it but Simpson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Escador to the ground. Escador escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Simpson rushes Escador and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Escador tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Simpson smiles and moves away.

and Simpson counters with a series of strikes. Escador will be more careful next time no doubt.

Simpson prevents Escador from standing back up.
Escador is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Escador wants to control but Simpson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Winston Escador has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
