Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pidkova Viacheslaw Yurievich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bariga Gerich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerich fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yurievich has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gerich enables Yurievich to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gerich manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gerich is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Yurievich has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Gerich looks up at the clock and then as Yurievich takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gerich smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Yurievich takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Yurievich tries to buck Gerich off but Gerich is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gerich lands a nice forearm strike.
Yurievich looks to move to half guard but instead Gerich has passed into mount! Damn!
Yurievich is bucking up trying to escape but Gerich cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gerich accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gerich must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gerich throws a strike but Yurievich rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Yurievich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gerich swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Yurievich closes the distance and clinches up with Gerich, looking for a takedown. Yurievich pushes Gerich against the cage but Gerich circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A close second round but Bariga Gerich will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Yurievich shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gerich sprawls well. Gerich wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Yurievich gets slowly back to his feet.

I would just about give that final round to Bariga Gerich.
Well Gerich has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
