The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yedo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Thompson counters with a nice uppercut.
Yedo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Thompson counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Thompson.
Thompson in side control, throwing shots but Yedo defends.
Yedo is looking for a sweep.
Thompson working the strikes but Yedo uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Thompson thows a huge punch but Yedo dodges it nicely.
Yedo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Thompson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Thompson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Yedo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thompson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Yedo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Thompson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Yedo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Yedo is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Thompson rolls with it to try and escape but Yedo cranks on the arm and Thompson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
