Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Lofton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alberto Vasquez had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasquez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lofton was covering up waiting for the punch and Vasquez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Vasquez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Vasquez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lofton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lofton is trying to keep Vasquez in close.
Vasquez working some strikes from top position.
Vasquez wants to control from the top but Lofton keeps moving.
Vasquez works over Lofton with some ground and pound from guard.
Lofton is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Vasquez is in close to Lofton's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Lofton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vasquez defends it easily.
Vasquez works over Lofton with some ground and pound from guard.

Lofton keeping moving, preventing Vasquez from controlling successfully.
Vasquez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Lofton has momentary wrist control but Vasquez slips an elbow through the middle.

Vasquez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lofton is still in real trouble! Can Vasquez finish him?
Vasquez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Vasquez arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Lofton's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
