Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rakkiat Nongkeeswuit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grayson Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Epic - Faith No More. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rakkiat Nongkeeswuit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Grayson Davis! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis with a poor takedown and Nongkeeswuit counters with a straight right hand. Davis fails with the takedown letting Nongkeeswuit counter with a right hand. Davis walks forward, straight into a front kick from Nongkeeswuit. Nongkeeswuit throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Davis throws a lazy uppercut
letting Nongkeeswuit counter with a right hand.
It looks like Grayson Davis has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Davis misses with a combination
and Nongkeeswuit finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Davis looks gassed! Davis lands with a straight right. Nongkeeswuit didn't see that one coming. Davis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Davis misses with an uppercut
and Nongkeeswuit counters with a nice body kick. Davis lands a body shot.
Davis fails with the takedown and Nongkeeswuit counters with a nice body kick. Rakkiat Nongkeeswuit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grayson Davis. Nongkeeswuit shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Davis napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Nongkeeswuit decides to stand back up. Davis fails with the takedown and Nongkeeswuit counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Davis's guard now. Nongkeeswuit controlling from the top position. Nongkeeswuit stopping the sweep attempt from Davis. Nongkeeswuit got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nongkeeswuit has managed to get both his arms back between Davis's legs - danger averted. Nongkeeswuit avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nongkeeswuit gets to his feet. Davis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Davis throws a left and a right that both miss
so Nongkeeswuit counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Davis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Nongkeeswuit sitting in guard here, content to control. Nongkeeswuit got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nongkeeswuit has managed to get both his arms back between Davis's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nongkeeswuit has picked Davis up and slammed him! Davis can't keep hold of the triangle and Nongkeeswuit manages to pass to side control! Nongkeeswuit decides to stand up, so the ref orders Davis to his feet. Davis misses with a jab to the body
and Nongkeeswuit counters with a body kick. Nongkeeswuit has managed to clinch.
Davis is fighting off a takedown attempt but Nongkeeswuit is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Davis to the mat. Davis regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Nongkeeswuit stands up from Davis's guard - Nongkeeswuit perhaps looking for a knockout. Davis throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nongkeeswuit counters with a takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Davis is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis wants to control but Nongkeeswuit postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davis is looking to reverse the position. Nongkeeswuit working away. Nongkeeswuit is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Davis is trying to get back to half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nongkeeswuit decides to stand back up. Nongkeeswuit steps back and let's Davis get back to his feet. Grayson Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Davis shoots in and bounces Nongkeeswuit off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nongkeeswuit can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Davis looking for a sweep. Not yet Davis, not yet. Davis is breathing heavily. Rakkiat Nongkeeswuit overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Nongkeeswuit decides to return to a standing position. Davis throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nongkeeswuit counters with a head kick. That will keep Davis thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Davis steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Nongkeeswuit. That one must have hurt. Davis throws a right and a left that Nongkeeswuit avoids nicely. Davis misses with a lunging right hand
and Nongkeeswuit counters with a nice double leg into guard. Davis working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Nongkeeswuit has passed into half guard!

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nongkeeswuit can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Davis working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nongkeeswuit is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rakkiat Nongkeeswuit. Nongkeeswuit connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Davis fails with the takedown and Nongkeeswuit counters with a shoot takedown. Davis fights it but they end up in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Davis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nongkeeswuit defends it easily. Davis is looking to sweep but instead, Nongkeeswuit has passed into half guard.
Nongkeeswuit stalling. Nongkeeswuit has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Davis misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Davis tries to get to full guard but Nongkeeswuit has control of the leg. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Nongkeeswuit perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Rakkiat Nongkeeswuit is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Rakkiat Nongkeeswuit just wasn't active enough. Davis falls off balance throwing a combination
and Nongkeeswuit counters with a nice double leg into guard. Davis pushes Nongkeeswuit off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Nongkeeswuit shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nongkeeswuit was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Grayson Davis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis tries to hold on but Nongkeeswuit pushes him away. Davis is trying desperately to improve position. Nongkeeswuit looking to control and managing it successfully. Davis working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nongkeeswuit controlling the pace for now. Davis is wriggling around trying to escape.

And that's the end of the fight! Rakkiat Nongkeeswuit showed his dominance in that final round. Well Nongkeeswuit has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today.
