Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pharo Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Gagnon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gagnon has chosen Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake as his entrance music. Pharo Ra has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ra closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gagnon did well to prevent Ra getting side control.
Ra wants to free his trapped foot but Gagnon is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Gagnon is looking for a sweep. Ra is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ra is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gagnon defends it well.
Ra seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gagnon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

BOOM! Gagnon connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Gagnon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Gagnon is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ra has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ra!

Gagnon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ra defends well.

Ra drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gagnon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gagnon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gagnon!

Ra is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gagnon can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Gagnon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ra manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gagnon has Ra in his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
