Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Rowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Seagal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Rowell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Seagal! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rowell looks to land a combination but Seagal avoids it well. Horrible takedown by Rowell or perhaps it was just good defense by Seagal which made him look bad. Rowell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Seagal circles away. Seagal with a lazy takedown attempt and Rowell counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Seagal's guard now. Seagal working a defensive guard here.
Seagal might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rowell kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Seagal is looking for a triangle but Rowell pushes his legs off easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Seagal is on top in guard.
Rowell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Seagal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Seagal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Seagal loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Seagal sitting in guard, not really doing much. Seagal trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rowell wants to sweep but no luck. Seagal is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rowell is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rowell has escaped and now he's on top! Seagal looking for a sweep. Not yet Seagal, not yet. Seagal is looking for a triangle but Rowell pushes his legs off easily.
Seagal looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Seagal looks gassed! Rowell trying to stand up but can't free himself from Seagal's guard. Rowell tries to free his leg and advance position but Seagal is retaining full guard. Seagal thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Rowell wants to control from the top but Seagal keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rowell stays in close to Seagal's body and controls the position. Rowell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Seagal is keeping the position for now. Seagal looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rowell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rowell has taken the fight to the clinch.
Seagal misses with a knee to the head. Seagal prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Rowell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Knees in the clinch landing for Seagal.
Seagal prevents Rowell from breaking the clinch. Seagal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rowell with a lazy takedown attempt and Seagal counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seagal is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seagal seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rowell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Seagal decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Rowell gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Seagal thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rowell keeping full guard, as Seagal tries to pass. Seagal not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. I looks like Seagal might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Rowell wants to stand up but Seagal is controlling him. Rowell wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seagal trying to control the position from guard on top but Rowell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Seagal throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Rowell looks to land a combination but Seagal avoids it well. Rowell tries for a takedown but Seagal circles away easily and Seagal counters with a shoot takedown. Rowell fights it but they end up in guard. Seagal stands up over Rowell, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rowell working from the bottom, still in full guard. Seagal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Seagal wants to control from the top but Rowell keeps moving. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Seagal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Seagal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Seagal postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Seagal dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Seagal shoots in but Rowell avoids the takedown attempt easily. Rowell looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Seagal paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Rowell is looking to clinch. Rowell forces Seagal back against the cage and clinches. Rowell ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rowell no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Rowell throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Seagal stands up from Rowell's guard - Seagal perhaps looking for a knockout. Rowell shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Seagal counters with a stiff right hand. Rowell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Seagal manages to avoid it. A head kick by Rowell misses and Seagal counters with a shoot takedown. Rowell fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Seagal sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rowell's guard. Rowell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Seagal is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Rowell is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Steven Seagal!
