Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aang Havatar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alonzo Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Aang Havatar has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aang Havatar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alonzo Wright! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wright gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Havatar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Havatar stuns Wright with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Wright walks into a straight right hand from Havatar. Havatar swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Havatar swings for the body but Wright moves out of range.

Havatar shoots and misses and Wright counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Havatar!
That's one minute gone in the round. Wright swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Havatar is now in Wright's guard. A big mistake from Wright there, giving up the dominant position! Havatar works over Wright with some ground and pound from guard. Havatar with a flurry of punches that miss. Wright keeping moving, preventing Havatar from controlling successfully. Wright looking for a guillotine here but Havatar defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Havatar trying to control the position from guard on top but Wright is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Havatar drops back looking for a leg! Wright is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wright manages to kick Havatar off! Havatar jumps back into Wright's guard. Havatar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Havatar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wright escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Havatar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Havatar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wright works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Havatar works over Wright with some ground and pound from guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Havatar trying to control the position from guard on top but Wright is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Havatar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wright is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Havatar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Wright is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Havatar is aware though and is defending well. Havatar trying to control but Wright is working from the bottom. Havatar passes Wright's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Havatar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wright keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aang Havatar dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Havatar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Havatar showed some decent athleticism there. Wright really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Havatar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wright is defending against the submission attempts here by Havatar.
Wright is refusing to be controlled, as Havatar sits in half guard. Havatar thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Wright to regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Havatar passes into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wright can do anything to dispel that myth. Havatar trying to control from half guard but Wright is working away. Havatar not landing any meaningful shots this time. Wright looking for submissions off his back. Havatar tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wright knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Havatar is trying to control the action in half guard but Wright is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Havatar is trying to work for a kimura but Wright is defending well.
Wright looking for submissions off his back. Wright is breathing heavily. Wright is in trouble now - Havatar has advanced to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Havatar raining down hammerfists from mount. Wright wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Havatar.
Havatar is landing with some decent strikes but Wright is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Wright is bucking up trying to escape but Havatar cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Havatar goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Wright turns into him and now he's in Havatar's guard.
Havatar manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Havatar jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Wright is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Wright and Havatar has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Aang Havatar dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Wright misses with a takedown attempt and Havatar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wright's guard. Havatar wants to control from the top but Wright keeps moving. Havatar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wright's guard. Havatar is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wright sees it coming and defends easily. Havatar is working for a submission of some sort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wright blocking the ground and pound attempt from Havatar. Havatar is trying to control. Wright wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Havatar escapes and gets back to his feet. Havatar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wright paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Havatar misses with a takedown attempt and Wright decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Havatar's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wright postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Wright throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Havatar works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wright trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wright missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Wright cracks Havatar with a solid left hand. Wright scoring with some ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wright accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Havatar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wright doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wright manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Havatar keeping full guard, as Wright tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wright lands a couple of digs. Wright wants to pass the guard but Havatar is keeping the position. Wright postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Havatar is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wright, into his guard. Havatar throwing strikes but missing. Havatar gets to his feet - Wright follows without any prompting.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wright doesn't succeed with the takedown and Havatar counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Havatar scores with a jab. Wright acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Havatar lands a nice hook to Wright's body. Wright takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Aang Havatar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Havatar works Wright's body with a nice hook. Alonzo Wright has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Havatar scores with a jab to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Aang Havatar showed his dominance in that final round. Well Havatar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
