Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Merrick Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elliot Hopper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane comes into the arena with Blood Sugar - Pendulum blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Merrick Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elliot Hopper! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane misses with a body shot
and Hopper counters with a straight right hand. Hopper throws a jab but it's blocked by Kane. Hopper takes one to the chin there. Kane scores with a leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action! Hopper throws a poor cross that misses
and Kane counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hopper thinking. Kane closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hopper did well to prevent Kane getting side control. Kane is looking for a kimura here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kane lands strikes from half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hopper can do anything to dispel that myth. Kane thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hopper to regain full guard. Kane slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hopper looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kane is one step ahead there. Kane throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane thows a big elbow that misses. Hopper keeping full guard, as Kane tries to pass. Kane trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kane passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hopper keeps working. Hopper stops Kane from passing to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane throws a strike aimed at the side of Hopper's head but Hopper avoids it well. Hopper prevents Kane from improving position. Hopper avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kane. Kane controlling the position. Hopper regains half guard, as Kane was trying to land strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kane looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kane passes the guard and advances to mount! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kane punching from mount but Hopper doing a good job of avoiding damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Merrick Kane dominated that round. That's time! Kane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hopper misses with a hook
and Kane counters with a low kick, right behind Hopper 's knee. Kane cracks the inside of Hopper's front leg. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kane scores with a takedown into Hopper's guard. Kane postures up in Hopper's guard and throws a big left but Hopper blocks it. Kane forces his way into half guard. Kane lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hopper is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane is looking to take a break and control but Hopper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kane looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kane throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kane thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hopper's head. Hopper is looking to control Kane's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hopper avoid being mounted? Kane passes to side control. Hopper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kane trying to control the action but Hopper is working from the bottom. Kane works to advance to full mount. Hopper defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hopper is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hopper and Kane has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Kane is looking to take a break and control but Hopper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kane swings around for an armbar but Hopper sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kane's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kane is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kane thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kane passes the guard and advances to mount! Poor strikes thrown by Kane there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kane sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Hopper wants to hold on but Kane pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Merrick Kane dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

and Kane counters with a nice leg kick. Hopper dodges the punch combination from Kane.
Kane lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Kane shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kane is keen to just control but Hopper is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hopper avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kane. Hopper blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kane. Kane is trying to work for a kimura but Hopper is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Elliot Hopper has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kane moves into full mount! Hopper won't be happy about that! Hopper is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The referee warns Hopper that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hopper holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kane tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Kane trying to control but Hopper is having none of it. Kane lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Hopper hang on? Kane trying to control but Hopper is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big strike lands for Kane! That's really hurt Hopper and he's turned his back - Kane keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Kane jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
