The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Magomedov stands up and beckons Zone to his feet.
Magomedov misses with a double jab
enabling Zone to counter with a crisp jab.
Magomedov circles away from the clinch attempt
and Magomedov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zone's guard now.
Magomedov trying to control but Zone is working from the bottom.

Magomedov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Zone throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zone wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Magomedov manages to pass to side control.
Zone regains full guard. Nicely done.

Zone is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Magomedov frees his head nicely. Oh but Zone has switched to an armbar! Magomedov is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
