Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Constantine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Vader has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Constantine throws a shot to the body.
Vader tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Constantine swivels and escapes.
John Constantine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vader throws a right and a left that both miss.
Constantine throws a combination that misses
and Vader counters with a left and a right that stings Constantine.
Vader shoots in but Constantine avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Constantine tries to sprawl but Vader drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Constantine is trying to stand.
Vader seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Constantine enables Vader to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Constantine manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Constantine wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vader has him pressed against the cage.

Vader is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Constantine gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Constantine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Constantine throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ryan Vader dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Constantine lunges at Vader with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Vader's hand.
Constantine throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vader counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Vader throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Constantine works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ryan Vader just wasn't active enough.
Vader shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Constantine as he jumps to the side.

Constantine goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Constantine misses the shot to the body.
Constantine swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Vader counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Vader postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Constantine avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Constantine is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Vader trying to control the position from guard on top but Constantine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Vader trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Constantine manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Constantine wants to get up but he can't break Vader's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Constantine stands up from Vader's guard - Constantine perhaps looking for a knockout.
Constantine lands with an uppercut that bounces Vader off the cage and back into rage.
Constantine throws a series of punches but Vader moves out of range.

and Vader counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Vader will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Constantine pushes Vader off looking to stand but Vader dives back in and keeps control.
Vader has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Constantine pushes Vader off looking to stand but Vader dives back in and keeps control.

Vader seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Ryan Vader wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Constantine avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
John Constantine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Constantine wants to stand and escape but Vader is having none of it.
Constantine keeping moving, preventing Vader from controlling successfully.
Vader stands and throws Constantine's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Constantine is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Vader asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Constantine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vader. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ryan Vader showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vader, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
