Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rodreguez can't get the takedown.
Rodreguez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rodreguez could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rodreguez scores with the left hand. Pele knows he should have avoided that one.
Pele pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rodreguez has taken the fight to the clinch.
with the fighters clinched against the cage, Rodreguez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Rodreguez has Pele up against the cage in a clinch.
Pele is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rodreguez digs a right hand into Pele's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Pele's gas tank.
Rodreguez stops a takedown attempt from Pele.
Rodreguez breaks from the clinch.
Rodreguez lands a head shot.
Rodreguez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pele as he avoids it easily.
Pele wants to clinch
and Rodreguez counters with a straight right hand.
Pele shoots in but no luck this time.
Pele fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
DJ Rodreguez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amauri Pele.
Pele throws a combination that misses
and Rodreguez counters with a two punch combo.
Rodreguez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Pele is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rodreguez off and has taken his back!

Rodreguez won't enjoy being in this position. Pele looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Rodreguez is tapping - it's over boys! Pele picks up the submission victory!
