Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Hazelwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Titou Ortizzz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Titou Ortizzz told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Hazelwood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Titou Ortizzz! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortizzz throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ortizzz closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ortizzz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hazelwood is just riding it out for now. Ortizzz eventually gives up the hold. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hazelwood looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hazelwood is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hazelwood looking for submissions off his back. Hazelwood on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hazelwood tries to get out of the position. Ortizzz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hazelwood doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ortizzz. Hazelwood is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ortizzz pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ortizzz lands a nice short elbow. Ortizzz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hazelwood looking for submissions off his back. Ortizzz missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Ortizzz is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ortizzz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hazelwood punching from the bottom.
Ortizzz controlling the pace. Ortizzz winds up and cracks Hazelwood with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hazelwood is pressing down on Ortizzz's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Ortizzz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hazelwood working for submissions but it's allowed Ortizzz to get to half guard.
Hazelwood is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ortizzz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ortizzz connects with a nice short shot to Hazelwood's temple. Ortizzz lands strikes from half guard. Hazelwood wants to improve his position but Ortizzz is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hazelwood looking for subs from the bottom but Ortizzz mounts him! Hazelwood is working to get back to half guard.
Ortizzz breaks from Hazelwood's wrist control and lands an elbow. Ortizzz scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Hazelwood is in a horrible position here. Ortizzz smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hazelwood is looking to get to half guard. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ortizzz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Hazelwood is rocked! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ortizzz loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Hazelwood scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Ortizzz land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Ortizzz stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Titou Ortizzz!
