Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leon Czolgosz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huaka i Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Po takes a swing at Czolgosz's ribcage but misses. Czolgosz misses with a takedown attempt and Czolgosz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Po misses with an uppercut. Czolgosz saw that one coming. Po throws a lazy right hand but Czolgosz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Po is looking to clinch. Po misses with a shot to the body and Czolgosz counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Po wants to control but Czolgosz is keeping busy and won't allow it. Po is trying to stand back up but Czolgosz is controlling him
Czolgosz is trying to control. Po wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Czolgosz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Czolgosz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Czolgosz wants to control from the top but Po keeps moving. Czolgosz passes Po's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Czolgosz wants to work for an arm triangle but Po is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Czolgosz doesn't succeed with the takedown and Po connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Czolgosz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Po is trying to defend but Czolgosz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Po is trying to maintain the position but Czolgosz is very close to passing his half guard. Czolgosz wants to pass to mount but Po is defending the position.

Po is squirming around, avoiding Czolgosz's attempts to control the action. Po is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Czolgosz with good strikes from the mount here! Czolgosz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Czolgosz looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Czolgosz unloading with bombs! Czolgosz landing punches. Czolgosz trying to control but he's not successful this time. Po is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Czolgosz has taken his back! Oh, that's bad for Po! Czolgosz moves to back control. Po trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Po takes a big shot to the side of the head.

Czolgosz has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Po has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Czolgosz is not going to allow Po to sit and survive in this position.

Czolgosz looks to score with a jab to the body but Po is just out of range. Huaka i Po seems to be getting the better of the standup. Czolgosz attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Czolgosz walks into a left hand. Po lands a nice shot that snaps Czolgosz's head back.

and Czolgosz counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Po's guard now. Huaka i Po has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Po keeping moving, preventing Czolgosz from controlling successfully. Po controls Czolgosz momentarily but Czolgosz frees himself.
