Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Asheesh Patel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Asheesh Patel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Tyson! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tyson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Patel with a poor takedown letting Tyson counter with a right hand. Patel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tyson counters with a stiff right hand. Tyson lands with an overhand left. Patel walks into a straight right hand from Tyson. Patel has his takedown stuffed and Tyson counters with a left and a right that stings Patel. Tyson sizes up Patel with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Patel throws a combination. Tyson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Mike Tyson has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Patel throws a left and a right that both miss

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Patel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Patel is looking to reverse the position. Tyson decides to stand back up. Tyson steps back and let's Patel get back to his feet. Tyson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Nice defenses there by Patel. Patel throws a head kick that misses. Tyson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Patel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tyson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tyson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Patel is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Patel working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Patel looking to sit in guard and control but Tyson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Asheesh Patel will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mike Tyson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Tyson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tyson stands up and beckons Patel to his feet. Mike Tyson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Tyson connects with a nice looking jab.

Tyson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Patels jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Patel slips a jab from Tyson. Patel comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Patel throws a head kick but Tyson moves out of range.
Tyson looks to land a combination but Patel avoids it well. Tyson stalks Patel and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Patel's face. Patel staggers backwards, shaken. Patel shoots for a double leg takedown but Tyson sprawls well. He's pushed Patel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Asheesh Patel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Patel takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Tyson shoots in and bounces Patel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tyson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Patel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Patel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Patel is working hard here to advance position. Tyson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

And that's the end of the fight! Mike Tyson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Tyson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
