Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Genji Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esa Liiten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liiten has chosen Wasteland as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Genji Aoki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Esa Liiten!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liiten clinches with his opponent.
Liiten wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Aoki lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Aoki has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Liiten clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Aoki tightening his grip on Liiten, looking for the choke.
Liiten turns into Aoki and is now in his guard.
Liiten throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Liiten avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Liiten wants to control from the top but Aoki keeps moving.
Liiten must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Aoki is working hard here to advance position.

Liiten postures up in Aoki's guard and throws a big left but Aoki blocks it.
Liiten thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Liiten stands and steps away. Aoki gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
A lazy left from Liiten finds it's target.
Aoki has closed the distance and engaged Liiten in a clinch.

Liiten has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Liiten tries for a takedown but Aoki sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Genji Aoki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Esa Liiten.

Aoki drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Liiten pushes Aoki away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Aoki gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Aoki moves into full mount!
Liiten keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Aoki looking to secure an arm triangle but Liiten defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Aoki jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Liiten is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Liiten and Aoki has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Aoki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Liiten is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Liiten wants to control but Aoki postures up.
Aoki is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Liiten has escaped the position, nice work there.
Aoki swings around for an armbar but Liiten sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Aoki's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Liiten trying to stand up but can't free himself from Aoki's guard.
Liiten with a nice head shot there.
Liiten controlling from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Liiten trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Liiten tries to stand but Aoki is controlling from the bottom.
Liiten landing some decent shots from guard.
Liiten seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Liiten stopping the sweep attempt from Aoki.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Liiten accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Liiten postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Liiten decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Liiten feints and as Aoki raises his hands in defense, Liiten changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Genji Aoki will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Liiten looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Aoki is fending him off so far but Liiten persists. Nope, Aoki circles away and we're back to standing.
Liiten misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Aoki shoots and misses
and Liiten counters with a series of strikes. Aoki will be more careful next time no doubt.

Liiten swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Aoki is now in Liiten's guard. A big mistake from Liiten there, giving up the dominant position!
Aoki drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Liiten manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Aoki has Liiten in his guard.
Liiten lying in Aoki's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Aoki decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Liiten taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Genji Aoki!
