Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Taka Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Rotoras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rotoras has chosen Remember the Name! as his entrance music. Ricardo Rotoras told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Rotoras counters with a stiff right hand.
Rotoras misses with a few strikes there.
Tanaka blocks a leg kick.

Tanaka feints and as Rotoras raises his hands in defense, Tanaka changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Tanaka got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rotoras has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tanaka has managed to get both his arms back between Rotoras's legs - danger averted.

Rotoras throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Rotoras fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tanaka.
Ricardo Rotoras seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rotoras throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tanaka tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rotoras is in Tanaka's guard.
Rotoras drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rotoras jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Tanaka cracks Rotoras with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Tanaka is landing with some decent strikes but Rotoras is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Tanaka is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rotoras can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
