McGenessy comes to the cage accompanied by Punch Out!!!. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGenessy wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mars takes a kick to the side of the head.
Good leg kick by McGenessy there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
McGenessy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Willis McGenessy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGenessy tries to land a front kick but Mars steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mars moves out of range as McGenessy throws a body kick.
McGenessy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mars.

McGenessy throws a sloppy head kick and Mars moves out of range easily.
McGenessy tries to score with a low kick but Mars moves his leg out of the way.
McGenessy fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mars checks it well.

Mars wants to finish this one by submission but McGenessy is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mars.
