Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Crockett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Crockett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Taylor! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Crockett to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Matt Taylor has been cut. Crockett misses with a body shot.
Taylor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Crockett wants to clinch. Crockett throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Taylor. Crockett fails with the takedown. Taylor has a takedown stuffed. Taylor blocks a head kick by Crockett.
Taylor should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Taylor looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Crockett looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Taylor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crockett's waist but Crockett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taylor off to one side. That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor circles away from the clinch attempt and Taylor counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Crockett prevents the takedown attempt.
Crockett breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Taylor has eaten all the pies! A swing and a miss from Taylor. Crockett scores with a hook to the body. Taylor takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Taylor looks gassed! Crockett tries for a takedown but Taylor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Taylor tries to close the distance and clinch but Crockett swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nice takedown defense from Taylor. No joy for Crockett on that attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Crockett is defended easily by Taylor. Crockett darts in and clinches Taylor up against the cage.

Crockett manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Taylor tries to score a body lock takedown but Crockett shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Crockett manages to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crockett wants to sweep here but Taylor controlling him for the moment. Crockett seems keen to control Taylor's posture. Crockett is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Crockett lands a body shot in the clinch.

Taylor doesn't succeed with the takedown and Crockett holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Crockett pulls guard effortlessly. Crockett not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Taylor passes into half guard. Taylor wants to control but Crockett is keeping him busy. Taylor looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Crockett with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Crockett looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Travis Crockett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Taylor tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Crockett counters by clinching up. Taylor is trying to drag Crockett to the mat but Crockett just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crockett jumps guard but Taylor stands there with Crockett around his waist. Crockett gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Taylor gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Crockett.

Taylor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crockett is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor tries to roll over but Crockett keeps him under control. Crockett trying to control the pace. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Travis Crockett has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Crockett fails with the takedown. Taylor shoots in for a takedown but Crockett shows good takedown defense. Crockett fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Taylor pushes Crockett up against the cage in a clinch. Crockett drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Crockett counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Crockett drives through and clinches with Taylor against the cage.

Taylor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor tries to sprawl but Crockett drives through with a takedown into half guard. Taylor wants to control but Crockett is keeping busy and won't allow it.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Taylor showing good wrestling skills to control the position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Taylor trying to control but Crockett is working from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Matt Taylor wasn't active enough on the ground. Crockett shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Taylor sprawls well. Taylor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Crockett gets slowly back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Travis Crockett. Well Crockett has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
