Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rojo Sangria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rivera comes into the arena with Your Hand in Mine blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Rojo Sangria enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sangria throws a lazy uppercut
and Rivera counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sangria shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Rivera counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rivera throws a jab but it's blocked by Sangria.
Rivera throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sangria counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Rivera is not content to let Sangria control the position.
Rivera wants to get back to full guard.
Rivera gets full guard.
Rivera is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sangria is controlling him.
Sangria loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Sangria tries to free his leg and advance position but Rivera is retaining full guard.
Sangria is working Rivera over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Sangria thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Sangria counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Rivera wriggles free and stands up.

and Sangria counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Rivera counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Sangria throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rivera counters with a good, hard body kick but Sangria shrugs it off.
Sangria misses with a takedown attempt - Rivera sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Carlos Rivera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rojo Sangria.
Rivera tries to close the distance and clinch but Sangria swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rivera takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Sangria misses with a left hand
and Rivera counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sangria thinking.
Rivera misses the shot to the body.
Sangria misses with a left hand
and Rivera counters with a straight right hand.
Rivera swings for the body but Sangria moves out of range.

Rivera fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rivera has his takedown stuffed
and Sangria counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rivera fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Rivera scores with a kick to the body.
Sangria throws a right hand that misses
and Rivera counters with a stiff right hand.
Sangria throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rivera counters with a straight right hand.
Sangria is rocked!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rivera gets a big slam - oh, Sangria is out! Sangria is out! That's a nasty KO!
