Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janno Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Party Rock. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Janno Gibbs! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gibbs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Gibbs lets loose with a powerful body kick. Brown will feel that in the morning. Gibbs lands with a slapping head kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Gibbs. That's going to slow Brown down. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gibbs scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Gibbs clinches up with Brown and pushes him back against the cage. Gibbs throws a head punch that misses. Brown stalling in the clinch but Gibbs improves position. Gibbs manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Brown wants to control from the top but Gibbs keeps moving. Gibbs wants to sweep here but Brown controlling him for the moment. Gibbs keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully. Brown is breathing heavily. Gibbs manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibbs connects with a solid leg kick. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Gibbs - that will leave a mark!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gibbs shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Gibbs is figuring out what he wants to do next. Brown on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brown tries to get out of the position. It looks like Gibbs might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Brown avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gibbs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibbs not doing much here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gibbs looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Janno Gibbs was stalling too much, according to the referee. Gibbs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gibbs is looking to slow Brown down with leg kicks. Gibbs darts in and clinches Brown up against the cage. Gibbs is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gibbs ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gibbs no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Gibbs pulls Brown in close to his closed guard and prevents Brown from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Janno Gibbs. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Gibbs. Brown shrugs it off though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gibbs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brown sprawls well initially but Gibbs persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gibbs seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Gibbs uses his free foot to push down on Brown's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Brown. Gibbs content just to control the position here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The referee warns Brown that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Janno Gibbs dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Brown takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Brown gets tackled into the cage by Gibbs. Gibbs maintains the clinch. Brown wants to break the clinch but can't.
Brown breaks the clinch.
Brown chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gibbs can pounce on him.
Gibbs darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gibbs is controlling the pace.
Gibbs is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibbs decides to return to a standing position. Gibbs has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Brown takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Gibbs throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brown tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gibbs is in Brown's guard. Gibbs showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibbs stands up and waves to Brown to follow him. Gibbs throws a leg kick which misses Brown's front leg but catches the back leg as Brown tries to avoid it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gibbs fails in his attempt to clinch. Gibbs scores with a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown moves out of range of the body kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Gibbs. Brown does a little dance to reset his feet. Daniel Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gibbs throws a push kick but Brown slaps the foot to one side. Gibbs closes the distance and clinches. Gibbs gets control of Brown's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gibbs will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Gibbs lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brown! Gibbs controlling his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gibbs lands a nice shot to the head. Gibbs controlling from mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gibbs cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Janno Gibbs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Gibbs rushes Brown and presses him up against the cage. Gibbs lands a knee to the head.
Gibbs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brown doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gibbs counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brown's guard now. Gibbs throws a big right hand that misses. Gibbs's corner is telling him to maintain position. Gibbs throws a big right hand that misses. Gibbs trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Janno Gibbs wasn't active enough on the ground. Brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gibbs closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gibbs lands in his opponent's guard. Gibbs forces his way into half guard. Gibbs performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Gibbs is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Brown!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibbs controlling from the full mount. Gibbs landing strikes from the mount. Gibbs lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Gibbs. Gibbs tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Gibbs unloading with bombs! Gibbs sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Brown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gibbs on the ground. Gibbs breaks from Brown's wrist control and lands an elbow. Daniel Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gibbs landing punches. Gibbs punishing his opponent with strikes. Gibbs controlling from the full mount. Gibbs is in the full mount, landing strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Janno Gibbs comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gibbs has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
