And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for The Quick with that takedown attempt.
The Quick moves to clinch but Savage breaks away
and Savage counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


It looks like Nick The Quick has been cut.
Savage misses with the combination.
The Quick takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
The Quick closes the distance looking to clinch

and Savage counters with a takedown into side control.
Savage taking a breather here.
Savage cracks The Quick with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The Quick is looking to regain half guard here but Savage keeps moving and retains side control.
Savage tries to get to his feet but The Quick is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Savage in his guard.
Savage would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Savage avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Savage content to stall in guard here.
Savage seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down The Quick for as long as he can get away with.
Savage wanted to stand there but The Quick had control of the position.

The Quick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Savage can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The Quick can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Savage controls the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The Quick had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Savage defends it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The Quick pushes a forearm under Savage's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Savage is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
