The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niemen lands with a nice combination. Thurston backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Dylan Thurston has been cut.
Thurston shoots in and gets a takedown into Niemen's guard.
Niemen is looking to stand up but Thurston isn't so interested in that idea.
Thurston drops back, looking for a kneebar! Niemen looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Niemen looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Niemen!
Niemen decides to stand back up.

Niemen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Thurston looks gassed!
Thurston shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Niemen as he avoids it easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Niemen.
Thurston backs away from a small jab...but Niemen lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Thurston crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Niemen with a spectacular finish!
