Renzu has chosen Smooth--Santana as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture circles away from the clinch attempt.
Arthur Couture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Couture closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Renzu is trying to improve his position.
Renzu prevents Couture from improving position.
Couture with the ground and pound but Renzu regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Couture lands strikes from half guard.
Couture is looking to take a break and control but Renzu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Renzu is pressing down on Couture's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Couture throws and elbow that misses. Renzu uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Couture's guard. Nice move by Renzu!
Couture thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Couture looking for a sweep. Not yet Couture, not yet.
Renzu sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Couture's guard.
Couture is looking to improve his position.
Renzu seems to be looking for submissions.
Renzu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Renzu not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Couture trying to control here.
Renzu throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Couture trying to control but Renzu postures up.
Renzu is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Couture sees it coming and defends easily.
Renzu sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Couture defending well though.
Renzu looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Couture with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Renzu seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Couture is looking for a sweep. Renzu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Renzu is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Renzu wants to pass to mount but Couture is defending the position.
Couture tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Vander Renzu has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Renzu misses with a double jab.
Couture gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Renzu counters with a takedown into side control.
Couture is breathing heavily.
Couture wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
A control attempt from Couture but he's now mounted!
Renzu controlling the pace for now.

Renzu is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Couture is surviving well by controlling Renzu's body position as best he can.

Renzu connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A combination from Renzu does no damage.
Couture tries for a takedown but Renzu circles away easily
and Renzu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Couture's guard.
Renzu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Renzu postures up in Couture's guard and throws a big left but Couture blocks it.
Renzu stands up from Couture's guard - Renzu perhaps looking for a knockout.
Couture avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Couture gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Renzu counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Couture!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Renzu lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Renzu looking to control and managing it successfully.
Renzu is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Couture to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Couture shrugs it off.

Couture takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Renzu lands a big shot there that rocks Couture but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Couture in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Renzu has isolated one of Couture's arms. Couture looking to fight him off but Renzu twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
