Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Tyme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and LJ Travers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LJ Travers will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Tyme! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, LJ Travers! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyme throws a leg kick that misses. Tyme closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tyme lands in his opponent's guard. Tyme drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tyme jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Tyme wants to pass the guard but Travers is keeping the position. Tyme is working hard here to advance position. Travers working a defensive guard here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Tyme feints and as Travers raises his hands in defense, Tyme changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Tyme drops back looking for a leg! Travers is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Travers manages to kick Tyme off! Tyme jumps back into Travers's guard. Tyme might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tyme drops back, looking for a kneebar! Travers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Travers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Travers! Tyme is breathing heavily. Tyme tries to bench press Travers off him but Travers keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Travers tries for a kimura but Tyme is defending well. Travers throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Travers controls the position. Travers is looking to take a break and control but Tyme is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tyme sneaks back into half guard. Tyme wants to get back to full guard. Travers wants to control but Tyme is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyme looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Travers pushes past his half guard into mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tyme is trying desperately to improve position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Travers looking to control and managing it successfully. Tyme is trying desperately to improve position. Travers trying to control but he's not successful this time. Travers sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Tyme is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Travers is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tyme can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Travers trying to control but he's not successful this time. Tyme is looking to get to half guard. Travers lands a big shot there that rocks Tyme but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tyme is squirming around, avoiding Travers's attempts to control the action. Tyme gets back to half guard. Tyme looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Tyme looking for submissions off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Tyme dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tyme feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tyme thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tyme pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Travers is keeping the position for now. Tyme drops back, looking for a kneebar! Travers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Travers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Travers! Tyme is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Travers off and has taken his back! Travers preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Tyme. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tyme is persistently looking for the submission but Travers is defending it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyme looking for the choke but no joy. Travers is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tyme gets his way!

Tyme is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Travers knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Travers for a finish.

Travers tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Travers tries to hold on but Tyme postures up. Travers regains half guard. Tyme tries to pass the half guard into mount. Travers knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Travers is trying to maintain the position but Tyme is very close to passing his half guard. Tyme trying to mount his opponent but Travers defends it. Tyme looking for a submission but Travers manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Tyme trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Adam Tyme overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Travers has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Tyme doesn't defend quickly enough and Travers has managed to lock this one up! Can Tyme escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Travers on a fantastic submission victory.
