Ungar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ari Gold - Let's Hug It Out, BITCH. Jim Dangle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stu Ungar!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dangle has his foot on Ungar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ungar works his way back into a safe position though.

Dangle looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ungar has picked Dangle up and slammed him! Dangle can't keep hold of the triangle and Ungar manages to pass to side control!

That was a close second round but I would say that Jim Dangle will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dangle dives in and grabs Ungar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ungar pushes down on Dangle's head and hops out.
Dangle shoots for a double leg takedown but Ungar sprawls well. He's pushed Dangle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dangle takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ungar is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Dangle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ungar tries to avoid it but Dangle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ungar to the ground. Ungar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Dangle here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Jim Dangle will probably get the nod.

Dangle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ungar is just riding it out for now. Dangle eventually gives up the hold.
