Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gold Mint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon McBacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gold Mint! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon McBacon! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mint misses with a series of wild punches.
McBacon throws out a powerful jab. Mint with a body punch. A glancing blow. Mint darts in and out, connecting with a jab. McBacon buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McBacon on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Mint has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McBacon finds it's way round the side to connect with Mint's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McBacon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McBacon showed some decent athleticism there. Mint looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Mint is trying to maintain the position but McBacon is very close to passing his half guard. McBacon wants to control but Mint is keeping him busy. McBacon wants to free his trapped foot but Mint is holding on for dear life with his legs. Mint is looking for a sweep. McBacon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mint trying to control from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mint tries to get to full guard but McBacon has control of the leg. McBacon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. McBacon not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. McBacon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Mint is looking to improve his position.
McBacon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mint keeps working. Mint is looking to improve his position.
Mint moves into full guard.
McBacon trying to control the position from guard on top but Mint is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McBacon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mint. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Mint is trying to hold McBacon in close to prevent damage but McBacon has managed to pass into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mint wants to get back to full guard. Mint is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McBacon pulls his head out easily. McBacon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McBacon in particular looking to stall. Mint wants to control but McBacon is keeping busy and won't allow it. McBacon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. McBacon lands strikes from half guard.

McBacon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mint works his way to full guard. Good work. Mint manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McBacon manages to get himself to full guard.
Mint trying to control but McBacon is working from the bottom. Mint drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McBacon dives on top into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McBacon won't allow Mint to sweep him here. Mint has his foot on McBacon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McBacon works his way back into a safe position though. Mint is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McBacon defends well. McBacon with a flurry of punches that miss. Mint avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. McBacon throws a big right hand that misses. McBacon trying to control but Mint is working from the bottom. Mint working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McBacon. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mint keeping moving, preventing McBacon from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon McBacon dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Mint connects with a body shot that sends McBacon's belly button to the back. McBacon throws a nice inside leg kick. Mint throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. McBacon avoids the body shot from Mint.

Mint lands a lovely overhand right. McBacon closes the distance and clinches. Mint is trying to force a seperation but McBacon has the dominant position. McBacon is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. McBacon lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Gold Mint has been cut. McBacon landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Mint manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mint throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A right-left combo lands from Mint. McBacon fails with a takedown attempt. Mint connects with a body shot that sends McBacon's belly button to the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McBacon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Mint is looking to wear down McBacon with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Mint bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McBacon's head backwards. McBacon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. McBacon lands a damaging elbow. McBacon blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Nice elbow from McBacon. Mint is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McBacon pulls him back up using the underhooks. McBacon is pressed up against the ropes. Mint has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McBacon down to the mat. McBacon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gold Mint. That's going to take a lot out of him. McBacon swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mint. McBacon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. McBacon scores a nice knee to the body.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. McBacon uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mint has time to react. McBacon lands a glancing blow to the side of Mint's head. Mint looks to score with a jab to the body but McBacon is just out of range. McBacon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A left lands for Mint. McBacon clinches. Mint tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McBacon smiles and moves away.
McBacon takes a swing at Mint's ribcage but misses. McBacon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. McBacon dives in and grabs Mint's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mint pushes down on McBacon's head and hops out. Gold Mint is winning the standup battle so far. Mint lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mint. Mint tries to bum rush McBacon with a series of wild strikes but McBacon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mint looks to land a combination but McBacon avoids it well. McBacon clinches up with Mint and pushes him back against the ropes.

Simon McBacon seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Mint wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mint has McBacon pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. McBacon manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Mint tries to stall but McBacon uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
McBacon creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Mint's defenses. McBacon gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. McBacon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McBacon looks to land a combination but Mint avoids it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon McBacon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Gold Mint's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Gold Mint seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mint throws a right and a left that both miss. McBacon fails to land the takedown. Mint slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Mint is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
McBacon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Mint lands with a nice combination. McBacon backs away looking to recover. Mint getting the better of the striking in that exchange. McBacon throws a series of punches but Mint moves out of range. McBacon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mint lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
McBacon is rocked! Mint cracks McBacon's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! McBacon slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Mint can do further damage! This one is done, son!
