Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Richard Wellington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wellington gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Kent defending well as Wellington loads up on a big left hand. Kent fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wellington avoids it really well and circles away. Nice shot lands for Wellington. Kent tries to clinch there but Wellington circles away.
Kent closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kent lands in his opponent's guard. Wellington is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wellington knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kent on the ground. Kent works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kent is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wellington defends it well. Wellington has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kent is working away from the top position though. Wellington on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wellington tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kent seems to be working for a kimura but Wellington defends the submission attempt. Kent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wellington keeps working. Kent is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wellington doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kent. Wellington won't allow Kent to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wellington keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Wellington is trying to get back to full guard. Kent is pressing down on Wellington's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wellington is holding on for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kent maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Wellington could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kent has cracked it and Wellington is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kent!
