Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Xander Cage! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cage shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Sanchez works his way to full guard. Good work. Sanchez keeping moving, preventing Cage from controlling successfully. Cage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sanchez doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Sanchez wants to sweep but no luck. Cage tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanchez is retaining full guard. Cage throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sanchez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cage counters with a takedown into side control. Cage controls the position. Sanchez is looking to regain half guard here but Cage keeps moving and retains side control. Cage landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Sanchez sneaks back into half guard. Sanchez has his foot on Cage's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cage works his way back into a safe position though. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sanchez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Cage lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cage cracks Sanchez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Sanchez is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cage landing punches. Oh Sanchez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sanchez is in all sorts of trouble here.

And that's the end of the fight! Xander Cage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cage has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
