Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miyamoto Musashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salvador Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Musashi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Yokozuna Theme. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miyamoto Musashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Salvador Cannon!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musashi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Musashi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Musashi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cannon counters with a straight right hand.

Cannon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Musashi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Cannon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Musashi has escaped the position, nice work there.
Cannon controlling from side mount.
An elbow from Cannon crashes against the mat.

Cannon working away.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The ground and pound from Cannon seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Musashi struggling a bit here.
Musashi sneaks back into half guard.
Cannon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Musashi keeps working.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Cannon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Musashi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Musashi tries to get out of the position.

Cannon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cannon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Musashi is fending him off so far but Cannon persists. Nope, Musashi circles away and we're back to standing.
Miyamoto Musashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Salvador Cannon.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cannon thows a huge punch but Musashi dodges it nicely.
Cannon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Musashi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Cannon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Musashi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cannon misses with a head shot. Musashi uses the momentum to regain guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cannon wants to pass the guard but Musashi is keeping the position.
Cannon throws a big right hand that misses.
Cannon is looking to work some ground and pound but Musashi has wrist control.
Musashi trying to keep a closed guard but Cannon is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Salvador Cannon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Musashi throws a right hand that misses

so Cannon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Musashi keeping moving, preventing Cannon from controlling successfully.
Cannon looking to pass the guard.

Cannon working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Cannon lands a couple of digs.
Cannon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Cannon tries to free his leg and advance position but Musashi is retaining full guard.
Musashi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Cannon trying to control but Musashi is working from the bottom.
Musashi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cannon is one step ahead there.
Cannon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Cannon looking to sit in guard and control but Musashi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Cannon lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Musashi!
Miyamoto Musashi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Salvador Cannon has got the better of the ground game so far.
Cannon tries to control but Musashi wriggling away.

Salvador Cannon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Cannon winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
