Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Colton Washington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rado McDonald! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Washington fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Washington misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Washington moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Rado McDonald has been cut. Washington is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McDonald's half guard. Washington is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Washington's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Washington has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McDonald wants to stand up but Washington is controlling him. Washington sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McDonald's guard. McDonald is in trouble now - Washington has advanced to mount! Washington landing shots from mount. Washington has control of McDonald's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McDonald regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Washington is going oldschool here, as he tries to force McDonald to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McDonald shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. BOOM! Washington connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The cut above Rado McDonald's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rado McDonald's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Colton Washington!
