Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Eder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I Need a Doctor. Rich Franklin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyle Eder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Rich Franklin! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eder throws a lazy head kick and Franklin counters with a straight right hand. Eder throws a head kick but Franklin moves out of range.
Eder throws a head kick that misses letting Franklin counter with a right hand. A head kick by Eder misses and Franklin counters with a stiff right hand. Eder misses with a head kick.
Eder throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Franklin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Eder throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Franklin to counter with a crisp jab. Eder throws a body kick the misses and Franklin counters with a straight right hand. Franklin has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Franklin instigates a clinch. Eder goes for a takedown in the clinch but Franklin prevents it.
Franklin is trying to break free. Franklin prevents a takedown attempt there.
Eder wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Eder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Franklin wants to get back to striking at distance but Eder won't allow it.
Franklin has a couple of punches blocked by Eder.
Eder has Franklin pressed against the cage, preventing Franklin from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Eder is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Franklin is trying to break the clinch but Eder has him pressed against the cage. Eder drops down looking for an ankle pick but Franklin pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Franklin has a takedown stuffed. Eder takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Eder shoots for a takedown but Franklin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Eder scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Eder is breathing heavily. Eder is looking for submissions but instead, Franklin has regained full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Franklin controls Eder momentarily but Eder frees himself. Eder wants to control from the top but Franklin keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eder throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Franklin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Franklin looking for a sweep. Not yet Franklin, not yet. Eder throws a big right hand that misses. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Franklin scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Eder with a poor takedown and Franklin counters with a two punch combo. Eder throws a lazy uppercut
and Franklin counters with a left and a right that stings Eder. Eder throws a predictable looking body shot
and Franklin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Eder working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Franklin. Eder is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franklin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Eder is proving hard to escape from. Franklin throwing strikes from guard but Eder blocks nicely. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Franklin's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Franklin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Eder working for a triangle but Franklin defends it easily.
Franklin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Franklin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Eder works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Franklin wants to stand and escape but instead Eder has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Eder drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Franklin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Eder has Franklin in his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Franklin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eder has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Franklin has managed to get both his arms back between Eder's legs - danger averted. Eder escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Franklin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Eder might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Franklin tries to stand but Eder is controlling from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Franklin wants to stand and escape but instead Eder has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rich Franklin dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Franklin takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Rich Franklin has been cut. Eder throws a head kick that misses. Franklin staying out of range there. Franklin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Franklin trying to control the action but Eder is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Franklin with the ground and pound but Eder regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Franklin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Eder manages to get to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Eder wants to sweep here but Franklin controlling him for the moment. Franklin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Eder, up you get! Eder throws an off balance right hand
and Franklin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Eder misses the shot to the body. Franklin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A head kick by Eder misses letting Franklin counter with a right hand. Eder misses with a head kick.
Eder fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Franklin manages to avoid it. Eder throws a lazy head kick and Franklin counters with a shoot takedown. Eder fights it but they end up in guard. Eder preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Eder working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Franklin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Franklin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Franklin postures up in Eder's guard and throws a big left but Eder blocks it. Eder throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Franklin wants to control from the top but Eder keeps moving. Eder throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Eder has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Franklin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Eder is trying to control the position but Franklin postures up. Franklin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Franklin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Eder is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franklin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Franklin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Eder manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Franklin has Eder in his guard. Franklin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Eder's guard. Eder looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Eder looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Eder pushes a forearm under Franklin's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Franklin is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
