Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Barry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silva Dodo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Barry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Silva Dodo! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barry tries to clinch and Dodo counters with a nice uppercut. Dodo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barry avoids it really well and circles away. Barry looks to clinch so Dodo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dodo wants to control from the top but Barry keeps moving. Dodo showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Dodo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Barry is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dodo, into his guard. Dodo controlling Barry's posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Silva Dodo was stalling too much, according to the referee. Barry tries to clinch and Dodo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Barry won't be happy with that. Dodo controls the position from side control. Dodo tries for a kimura but Barry is defending well. Dodo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dodo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Barry has escaped the position, nice work there. Barry is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Dodo advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dodo working for a submission but Barry is keeping him at bay. Dodo is working for a guillotine from mount but Barry frees his head quite easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dodo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Barry can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Barry tries to buck Dodo off but he can't manage it. Dodo looking to control but Barry is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Silva Dodo dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Nice combo by Barry! Oh, that's hurt him - Dodo falls to the canvas and Barry follows him into side control.
It looks like Silva Dodo has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barry tries to stand but Dodo is controlling his head. Dodo can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barry tries to stand but Dodo controls the position and pulls Barry into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barry has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dodo is proving hard to escape from.
Patrick Barry has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Barry tries to clinch but fails miserably and Dodo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Barry keeping moving, preventing Dodo from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dodo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dodo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barry is keeping the position for now. Dodo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Barry looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Barry looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Barry! Dodo is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dodo wants to control but Barry postures up. Dodo is looking to regain half guard here but Barry keeps moving and retains side control. Barry tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Barry trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Who's going to make the next move?
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Barry closes the distance but Dodo moves to the side and Dodo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Barry won't be happy with that. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Barry is not content to let Dodo control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Patrick Barry dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Silva Dodo's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Dodo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barry as he avoids it easily. A good leg kick by Barry. Patrick Barry is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Barry tries to close the distance and clinch but Dodo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Barry wants to clinch but Dodo slips to the side and Dodo counters with a shoot takedown. Barry fights it but they end up in guard. Dodo stops Barry from standing up. Dodo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Barry dives on top into guard. Dodo is trying to control the position but Barry postures up. Dodo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dodo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Barry kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Silva Dodo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Barry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Barry lands with a thumping leg kick.
Barry throws a series of punches but Dodo moves out of range. Barry wants to clinch. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Dodo has eaten all the pies! Barry throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Dodo stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Barry follows into mount! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dodo wants to hold on but Barry pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barry stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Barry wants to clinch. Barry tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dodo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dodo blocks a head kick by Barry.
Barry fails to land with a series of punches.
Dodo shoots in looking for a takedown. Barry tries to sprawl out of it but Dodo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Barry misses with a series of wild punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barry is looking to clinch but Dodo is avoiding it.
Dodo circles away from the clinch attempt and Dodo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Barry's guard now. Barry keeping moving, preventing Dodo from controlling successfully. Dodo won't allow Barry to get back to his feet. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Barry here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. That's four minutes gone in the round. Dodo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Barry wants to stand up but Dodo is controlling him. Dodo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barry swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dodo trying to control the position from guard on top but Barry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Patrick Barry showed his dominance in that final round. I think Barry has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
