And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mart Koorik!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy tried to score with a low kick but Koorik checks it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Koorik.
Kennedy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Koorik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kennedy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kennedy shoots and misses

and Koorik counters by moving into the clinch.
Kennedy is working for takedown but Koorik is calmly controlling the position for now.
Koorik scores with a knee to the head.
Kennedy has had enough of the clinch but Koorik keeps him there for the moment.

Koorik breaks the clinch.
Kennedy tries for a takedown but Koorik circles away easily
and Koorik counters with a nice leg kick.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Koorik can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kennedy is looking to take a break and control but Koorik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kennedy is trying to work for a kimura but Koorik is defending well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Koorik has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kennedy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Koorik walks away with a smile on his face. Kennedy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Kennedy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Koorik's guard now.

Kennedy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kennedy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Koorik's guard.
Kennedy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Koorik is staying active underneath Kennedy, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kennedy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kennedy wants to control but Koorik is keeping him busy.

Kennedy seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Koorik is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
