0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Razz Slovan! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Slovan is trying to defend but Johnson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Johnson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Johnson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Johnson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Slovan defends it well. Johnson is working for a submission of some sort.

Johnson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Slovan sees it coming and defends easily. Slovan is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Slovan is looking to improve his position.
Johnson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Johnson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Slovan tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Johnson!
