Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gosha Abramov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gosha Abramov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abramov has his takedown stuffed and Emelianenko counters with a lovely straight right hand! Abramov with a lazy takedown attempt and Emelianenko counters with a straight right hand. Emelianenko closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Abramov did well to prevent Emelianenko getting side control. Abramov looking for submissions off his back. Abramov blocking the ground and pound attempt from Emelianenko. Nice strikes from Emelianenko there. Emelianenko is just content to waste time from the top position. Abramov takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Emelianenko is looking to work some ground and pound but Abramov has wrist control. Emelianenko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Emelianenko is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Abramov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Emelianenko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Abramov keeping moving, preventing Emelianenko from controlling successfully. Abramov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Abramov is really struggling to control Emelianenko but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gosha Abramov. Emelianenko darts in and clinches Abramov up against the cage. Emelianenko stalling in the clinch but Abramov improves position. Abramov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Emelianenko fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Abramov is looking to escape. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Abramov looking for submissions off his back. Abramov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Emelianenko's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Emelianenko's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fedor Emelianenko dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Abramov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Emelianenko counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Emelianenko has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Abramov uses from the top position. Emelianenko keeping full guard, as Abramov tries to pass. Abramov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Emelianenko's guard. Abramov seems to be looking for submissions.

Emelianenko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Emelianenko is trying to maintain the position but Abramov is very close to passing his half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Abramov is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Fedor Emelianenko has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. No luck for Abramov with that takedown attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Abramov is defended easily by Emelianenko. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gosha Abramov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abramov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Emelianenko sprawls well. Emelianenko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Abramov gets slowly back to his feet. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Emelianenko. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Abramov looks to clinch and Emelianenko moves into the clinch.

A battle for position here, against the cage. Emelianenko is looking to control Abramov's arms but Abramov gets an underhook and turns him. Now Emelianenko has his back to the cage. Abramov gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Abramov connects with a nasty looking knee right to Emelianenko's face.

Abramov is trying to maintain the position but Emelianenko is very close to passing his half guard. Abramov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Emelianenko's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Emelianenko's back! Emelianenko trying to control but not successfully.
