Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manu Vatuvei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Threeteeth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Threeteeth comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mother kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Manu Vatuvei has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Threeteeth darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Threeteeth is controlling the pace.

Vatuvei has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Threeteeth is working away from the top position though.
Threeteeth should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Vatuvei is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Threeteeth knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Threeteeth for a finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vatuvei is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Threeteeth tries to escape but Vatuvei has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Vatuvei lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Vatuvei is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Threeteeth fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vatuvei sprawls well initially but Threeteeth persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Vatuvei is controlling Threeteeth's trapped leg to prevent Threeteeth from advancing to side control.
Vatuvei wants to control but Threeteeth is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Threeteeth wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Vatuvei's closed guard. He's half up but Vatuvei has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Vatuvei pivots and extends the arm, Threeteeth falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Vatuvei! Well done that man!
