The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourne lands a jab to Sabella's midsection.
Bourne tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sabella swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sabella gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bourne to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bourne drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sabella looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sabella looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sabella!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bourne tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sabella wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sabella is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bourne knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Bourne is trying to control Sabella's posture but Sabella avoids it.

Bourne has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sabella is working away from the top position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bourne manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Sabella drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sabella as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Bourne screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sabella! Nice submission victory there!
