Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Sushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Underhill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Underhill has chosen Chimaira - Warpath as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sushi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sushi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Underhill lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sushi throws a nice inside leg kick.

Underhill darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Underhill tries to pass to full mount but Sushi defends it.
Underhill throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Sushi is trying to get back to full guard.
Underhill throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sushi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Underhill trying to control from half guard but Sushi is working away.
Underhill lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Sushi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sushi is looking to control Underhill's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sushi avoid being mounted?
Underhill is trying to control. Sushi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Underhill working over Sushi with some ground and pound. Sushi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sushi is staying active underneath Underhill, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sushi wants to control but Underhill is keeping busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Underhill seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sushi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Underhill wants to pass the guard but Sushi is defending well.
Sushi is refusing to be controlled, as Underhill sits in half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Underhill is thwarting Sushi's attempts to control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Underhill looks to score with a jab to the body but Sushi is just out of range.
Underhill bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Underhill is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Sushi rather than just go for the knockout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sushi catches Underhill with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sushi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Underhill looks gassed!
Sushi misses the shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sushi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Underhill did well to prevent Sushi getting side control.

Sushi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Underhill is just riding it out for now. Sushi eventually gives up the hold.
Sushi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Underhill keeps working.
Underhill is looking for a sweep. Sushi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sushi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Underhill doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sushi.
The fighters are battling for position here. Underhill manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sushi wants to control from the top but Underhill keeps moving.
Sushi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Underhill's guard.

Underhill is pressing down on Sushi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Sushi trying to control the position from guard on top but Underhill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sushi tries to free his leg and advance position but Underhill is retaining full guard.

Sushi drops back looking for a leg! Underhill is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Underhill manages to kick Sushi off! Sushi jumps back into Underhill's guard.
Underhill pulls Sushi in close to prevent any damage.

Sushi trying to control the position from guard on top but Underhill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Underhill is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Underhill keeping moving, preventing Sushi from controlling successfully.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Underhill controls Sushi momentarily but Sushi frees himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Yoshi Sushi.

Underhill throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sushi counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Sushi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Underhill.
Underhill shoots in but no luck this time.
Good standup being displayed there by Underhill as he connects with a hook.
Underhill ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sushi moves away.
Underhill misses with a body punch
and Sushi counters with a right hand to the body.
Sushi throws a leg kick which misses Underhill's front leg but catches the back leg as Underhill tries to avoid it.
Underhill tries for a takedown but Sushi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Underhill looks to land a right hand but Sushi moved out of range.
Sushi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Underhill sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Underhill ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sushi moves away.
Sushi connects with a leg kick. Underhill looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Underhill shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sushi as he jumps to the side.

Sushi avoids the body shot from Underhill.
Underhill misses with a hook to the body
and Sushi counters with a nice body shot.
Underhill takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The fighters circling - Underhill throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Underhill looks to land a left hand but Sushi moved out of range nicely.
Sushi throws a sloppy head kick and Underhill moves out of range easily.

Underhill throws a shot from downtown. Sushi moves away and avoids it.
Underhill misses with a hook
and Sushi counters with a straight right hand.

Sushi shoots in looking for a takedown. Underhill tries to sprawl out of it but Sushi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Underhill manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Underhill has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sushi.
Underhill takes a jab right on the kisser.
Sushi throws an overhand right that lands on Underhill's shoulder, as Underhill tries to avoid the shot.
Underhill moves out of range as Sushi throws a body kick.
Underhill leaves Sushi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoshi Sushi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Underhill scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Mike Underhill has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Nice uppercut lands for Underhill. That snapped Sushi's head back.

Underhill lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sushi backs up against the cage.

and Sushi counters with a nice uppercut.
Underhill fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sushi manages to avoid it.

Sushi tries to land a leg kick but Underhill saw it coming and moves away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sushi.

Underhill fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sushi manages to avoid it.
Underhill uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sushi.
Underhill tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sushi swivels and escapes.

Underhill throws a predictable looking body shot
and Sushi counters with a straight right hand.
Yoshi Sushi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Underhill scores with a hook to the body. Sushi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A slapping leg kick lands for Sushi.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sushi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Underhill.
Underhill on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Underhill misses with an uppercut
and Sushi counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Underhill is lucky that one didn't land flush.

And that's the end of the fight!
Yoshi Sushi showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sushi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
