Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Junior Johns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Strider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Strider will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johns darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Strider tries to roll over but Johns keeps him under control.
Johns is looking to take a break and control but Strider is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Johns is trying to work for a kimura but Strider is defending well.
Johns wants to stand but Strider has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Johns trying to pass the guard but Strider defending well.

Johns escapes and gets back to his feet.

Strider tries for a takedown but Johns circles away easily

and Johns decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Strider's guard.
Johns trying to control the position from guard on top but Strider is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Strider keeping full guard, as Johns tries to pass.
Johns trying to move into half guard but instead Strider has managed to sweep!
Strider wants to control from the top but Johns keeps moving.
Johns on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johns tries to get out of the position.
Johns is trying to control the position but Strider postures up.
Johns looking to hit a scissor sweep but Strider is one step ahead there.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Strider is looking to work some ground and pound but Johns has wrist control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jake Strider hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Strider shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Johns counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Strider!

Strider is desperately trying to improve his position but Johns has a good base and remains in mount.

Johns jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Strider manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Johns wants to control but Strider is keeping him busy.
Strider looks gassed!
Johns looking to control but instead Strider has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Johns trying to control but Strider is having none of it.

Johns swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
