Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian McGordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dino Cazares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian McGordon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dino Cazares! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That kick from McGordon tenderised Cazares's leg. Cazares is trying to keep his angry face on. Cazares lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McGordon circles away quickly and effectively. Cazares darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. McGordon is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Cazares is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McGordon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cazares. Cazares looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McGordon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Cazares is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McGordon has managed to free his arm - good work. McGordon trying to control but Cazares postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cazares working over McGordon with some ground and pound. McGordon looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. McGordon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cazares on the ground. Cazares thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing McGordon to regain full guard. Cazares working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cazares accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cazares drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McGordon dives on top into guard. McGordon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. McGordon trying to control the position from guard on top but Cazares is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cazares pushes McGordon off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. A bone on bone clash there as Cazares blocks the leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Cazares or perhaps it was just good defense by McGordon which made him look bad. A slow jab from McGordon misses its intended target. McGordon throws a lazy right hand but Cazares sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. McGordon rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cazares counters with a series of strikes. McGordon will be more careful next time no doubt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McGordon throws a lazy head kick and Cazares counters with a series of strikes. McGordon will be more careful next time no doubt. McGordon looks to land a left hand but Cazares moved out of range nicely. Cazares shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McGordon misses with a hook to the body
and Cazares counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. McGordon is breathing heavily. Cazares is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McGordon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McGordon has escaped and now he's on top! Cazares is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGordon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Cazares wants to stand up but McGordon is controlling him. Cazares wants to sweep but no luck. McGordon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. McGordon won't allow Cazares to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Brian McGordon wasn't doing enough on the ground. Cazares misses with a wild combination.
Cazares shoots in for a double leg but McGordon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Brian McGordon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dino Cazares. Cazares tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McGordon swivels and escapes. Cazares misses with an uppercut. McGordon saw that one coming. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cazares fails in his attempt to clinch. Brian McGordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McGordon throws a big shot that misses. Cazares misses with a body shot
and McGordon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dino Cazares dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Cazares looks to land a combination but McGordon avoids it well. Cazares shoots in but no luck this time. Dino Cazares is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cazares fails with the takedown letting McGordon counter with a right hand. Cazares on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. McGordon lands with a kick to the temple. Cazares shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Dino Cazares has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! McGordon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Cazares is rocked! McGordon ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Cazares out cold! The fight is over!
